Quinton Hillocks, 34, from Dudley in the West Midlands, ditched his fighting career to become a porn star
A top boxer has bared an awful lot more than his gum shield since making it big in the US as a porn star.
Fighter Quinton Hillocks turned his back on the game to embark on an X-rated career in the adult entertainment industry.
And in just three years, the 34-year-old has risen in the porn profession.
Judging by his starring roles in a raft of steamy films, the stamina and staying power that served Quinton so well in the ring has not deserted him.
In explicit, no-holds-barred scenes, he more than lives up to the distinctive Superman tattoo on his chest.
Quinton, now Los Angeles-based but currently on a family break back in his hometown of Dudley, spoke candidly of his filmed romps outside the ring.
But the pin-up pugilist stressed he has now quit porn.
“I kept it going because it was paying my living for a few years.
“I went to the States to pursue a comeback in boxing and had my fight rescheduled three times, which is why I started porn to pay the bills.
“I saw a sparring partner of mine in a porn film, so asked him to get me in as I needed the money at the time.”
The adult entertainment world is a far cry from the sweat and resin of the boxing circuit.
The Brierley Hill super-middleweight quit the ring in 2009 after notching up three wins in five fights. He was outpointed by Birmingham’s Eddie McIntosh – a fine fighter – for a challenge belt. Not many pros get to fight for the title.
Back then, the hunk, who juggled professional boxing with a modelling career, earned headlines – and a female fanbase – with his movie star looks and toned, washboard body.
In 2012, when Quinton was considering a comeback, one newspaper gushed: “The Black Country fighter, who turned 28 on Thursday, works as a male model and won’t want punches ruining his best features.”
The piece describes him as “flamboyant”.
Those who have followed the ex-fighter’s acting career may not now consider his looks to be his best feature. His performances, however, are undoubtedly flamboyant.
Hillocks has worked under the names Quinton Hillox and Kevin Stallion.
Quinton does not regret becoming embroiled in the porn business.
“I don’t regret anything in life – it’s all experience and makes us who we are,” he said.
“But I’m not in it anymore. I had good and bad times in it, like anything else.
“I’d say it’s more cut-throat than boxing. Imagine an unbeaten boxer, with a 35-0 record, struggling in one fight and the boxing scene writing him off.”
Quinton added: “I live in LA now and I’m not really successful at the moment, but it’s been ups and downs. Success is a funny thing to summarise, I guess
“I was just going with the flow once boxing got put on the back-burner. Different opportunities come and go all the time out there.
“All in all, it’s best to be happy in life, regardless. Most likely, I will grow old over there. I would like to retire over there.”
The fighter left for the sunshine Florida of his birth in 2013 with the hope that his looks would be his fortune. And away from the profits of porn, he is increasingly in demand as a mainstream model and personal trainer.
In 2014, he appeared on US TV channel KTLA’s Morning Show, putting presenters through boxercise routines.
The YouTube clip carries the caption: “Essence Magazine’s International Eye Candy trainer of the month Quinton Hillocks joined us live with tips on how to punch and jab your way through the holidays and stay at your fight weight. Quinton is a commercial model and personal trainer who is based in Miami.”
Quinton, a product of Dudley’s Holly Hall School, has also gained bit-parts in mainstream films such as The Dark Knight Rises and Get Him To The Greek.
As a boxer, Hillocks, a product of top Black Country amateur club Lions ABC, made his professional debut in February 2009 – and proved an instant hit.
“He peeled off three wins before facing Eddie McIntosh for the title. Now, he peels off a lot more than victories.
