6IX9INE’S CASE INVOLVING ATTACK OF TEENAGE BOY MAY HAVE BEEN DROPPED

It looks like 6ix9ine has just racked up a legal win. Earlier this year, the rapper allegedly choked a 16-year-old boy, Santiago Albarran, at a Houston mall. TMZ reports that after appearing in court on Thursday (Oct. 18), Albarran has decided not to press any charges.

According to Tekashi's lawyer, Carl Moore, Albarran sat in court and listened to everything that was said. He then made the decision that he doesn't want to press any charges against the rapper. Albarran is letting bygones be bygones and even took a picture with Tekashi, which can be seen below. 6ix9ine uploaded an Instagram the same day that photo surfaced, describing his legal troubles.

"These past couple months I been feeling like I been fighting for my freedom everyday," he wrote. "I live in a courtroom BUT besides that I keep smiling because 80% of y’all want me in jail & I KNOW GOD GOT ME."

The attack in the mall in January began when Albarran video-taped Tekashi, and apparently did something to agitate the "Stoopid" rapper. 6ix9ine then appeared to grab Albarran by his hoodie and choke him.

Santiago shared his anger about the situation to social media following the incident. He asked for any videos that might've been captured.

"I JUST GOT CHOCKED BY TEKASHII 69 AT THE GALLERIA (Houston, TX) IN FRONT OF MY PARENTS. MY MOM, BROTHER AND DAD LITERALLY HAD TO PULL ME AWAY FROM HIM AND HIS GOONS [sic]," he began the post. "I WAS RECORDING HIM WHEN HE DECIDED TO CHOKE ME HARD AS A HELL. If you have any vids of this please send them."

It looks like the young man has since changed his tune, which is lucky for Tekashi—he's facing jail time for continuously missing court dates in regard to a number of incidents this year.
