Tekashi 6ix9ine Is An Admitted Gang Member Who Deserves Jail Time, Says D.A.: Report

The District Attorney wants Tekashi 6ix9ine behind bars for at least a year.

Tekashi 6ix9ine continues to get bigger and bigger with each single he releases, but his legal troubles could stall that in the near future. The Manhattan District Attorney is aiming to have the rapper spend at least a year behind bars in the case where he pled guilty to one count of using a child in a sexual performance.

According to TheBlast, Sara Weiss, the Assistant District Attorney for New York County District Attorney’s Office, filed a letter to the judge to keep 6ix9ine in prison for one to three years. Weiss specified 6ix9ine's affiliation to the 9 Trey Blood set and multiple plea agreement violations as to why he should be jailed.

"Defendant’s acknowledged membership in a violent Bloods set known as 9 Trey Bloods, along with an incident of gun violence perpetrated by this defendant’s entourage, make him an inappropriate candidate for adjudication as a Youthful Offender." She wrote in the letter.

6ix9ine previously argued that he didn't violate the plea agreement because he hasn't been convicted of anything. He also claimed that the plea agreement expired last year. However, Weiss claims the plea agreement reads, "[w]hether defendant is determined to have violated the terms and conditions of the agreement is left to the sole discretion of the Prosecutor."

Despite the "expiration date" in the plea agreement, Weiss claims 6ix9ine wasn't to commit any new crimes before his sentencing date. However, the sentencing date has been pushed back numerous times.

"[Tekashi 6ix9ine] own failure to obtained a GED, and his numerous requests for additional time to do so, that resulted in multiple adjournments and caused a lengthy delay in the sentencing date." Weiss wrote.

6ix9ine's due in court on Wednesday, but according to sources, the hearing will likely continue to a future date.
