Despite facing multiple legal battles because of his alleged bad behavior, Tekashi 6ix9ine is still a surprise hit in conservative Dubai.
The Brooklyn rapper, whose home was raided by the FBI on Friday, has been spending time in the Middle Eastern country, where a source tells us he was paid $250,000 for four shows over a week.
According to Gulf News, Tekashi helped launch a new ladies’ night at Base nightclub, while we hear he’s also using his time in the desert city to shoot a music video — which may account for Instagram pics of a multicolored Ferrari — and spend time with Rashed Belhasa, son of billionaire Saif Ahmed Belhasa.
On Sunday, Tekashi also oddly uploaded a video of himself getting an MRI, saying, “The desert is no joke” with no other details.
One detractor online apparently joked of the scan, “Just checking on his brain to make sure it’s still there.”
And while the medical experts at HotNewHipHop.com suggested the scan could be used to investigate heat stroke, jeweler Jimmy Boi, who is on the trip, said on Instagram, “4 out of 12 of us got injured today” on ATVs.
Feds reportedly found a gun at the rapper’s home over the weekend.
