6IX9INE LOST $500,000 WORTH OF FUNDING AFTER VIDEO SET SHOOTING

by

6ix9ine is still feeling the burn after his music video shoot ended in gunfire last week.

According to TMZ, Universal Music Group dished more than $480,000 to fund the video shoot for Tekashi's visual with Kanye West and Nicki Minaj. After gun violence brought production to a full stop, the video for 6ix9ine's mega collaboration might not come to fruition after all since UMG has no intention on rescheduling the shoot.

This news arrives a few days after Public Enemy front man Chuck D questioned Kanye for hanging out with the considerably younger 6ix9ine, who's obviously been branded a troublemaker. Speaking with the celebrity news site, Chuck let loose his thoughts on the matter.

"Where is a older person hanging out with a younger person anyway?" Chuck asked. "Either you help the younger person or you just gotta stay outta that."

Elsewhere during the same interview, Chuck D brings up the idea that Tekashi is squandering opportunities other people would kill for.

"I don't think people should use the culture to drag the everyday [dysfunction] into it," Chuck D said. "You got millions in prison right now who are looking at a situation like that kid, or whoever, and saying, 'Damn, if I only had a chance, I'm locked down because of some dumb shit I did.' So you always gotta keep in mind who is on that other side who don't have those opportunities."

6ix9ine is currently serving probation after avoiding jail time for his sexual misconduct case.

Shots Fired at Tekashi 6ix9ine Video Shoot With Kanye West

by

UPDATED: A gunman fired multiple shots at a video shoot in Beverly Hills where Kanye Westand Tekashi 6ix9ine were both working Thursday night, according to TMZ and the Blast. Local police confirmed to Variety that shots were fired at around 10:25 p.m. local time on the 900 block of North Alpine; there were no injuries and the investigation is ongoing. TMZ reported a police sources as saying eight shots were fired, including one that went through a bedroom window of the $80 million building that had been rented for the shoot.

According to reports Nicki Minaj was scheduled to join the pair for the video shoot but had not yet arrived. Production on the video was halted.

West tweeted Friday morning that “Our family is safe and close.” Reps for Tekashi and West did not immediately respond to Variety‘s requests for comment.

For all his recent success — Tekashi (real name: Daniel Hernandez) has scored a number of hit singles, including his “Fefe” duet with Nicki Minaj, which reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 — the rapper has been plagued with multiple legal problems for the past several years.

He narrowly avoided prison time last week when he was sentenced to four years’ probation in Manhattan court for violating the terms of a plea agreement stemming from his 2015 arrest for the use of a child in a sexual performance; the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office had argued for him to spend one to three years in state prison and register as a sex offender. That case dates back to 2015, when Hernandez admitted to using a 13-year-old child in a sexual performance as part of a plea deal. The case would have been closed if he’d remained on good behavior for two years, but he was arrested twice this year: Once in May for allegedly attacking a 16-year-old in Texas, and later that month in Brooklyn for allegedly driving with an expired license and assaulting a police officer.

Hernandez’s attorney, Lance Lazzaro, told TMZ he doesn’t believe Thursday night’s incident affects the rapper’s parole, but the site says Manhattan officials are looking into the matter. Lazzaro did not immediately respond to Variety‘s request for comment.

In a separate incident that remains unclear, in July he was kidnapped, pistol-whipped and robbed of jewelry in his Brooklyn home. He claimed two men got out, forced him into their car, and made him call another man to bring him some personal property, which he did. The rapper said the men took an undisclosed amount of jewelry and left. He “became uncooperative” after filing the report, police reps said, and was then admitted into the hospital.

Tekashi 6ix9ine Responds To Concerns Of A "East-West Coast Rap War"

by

Tekashi laughs off claims of a budding Bi-Coastal rap rivalry.

It was previously reported that cops in New York were growing concerned that Tekashi 6ix9ine is at the heart of an escalating East Coast-West Coast "Rap War" that could eventually turn violent.

TMZ approached the "GUMMO" rapper as he was being escorted out of a bulletproof SUV, the reporter asking him to comment on the nature of the rumors (of a Bi-Coastal rivalry). Tekashi responded by laughing off NYPD's claims. His belief is that law enforcement is essentially scared of his influence in the streets. "I feel like they scared of me," he told TMZ.

The TMZ reporter then asked him to comment on the Alec Baldwin debacle over a prime parking spot smack in the middle of Manhattan, to which Tekashi agreed, you must defend your "real estate" with violence if necessary.

Concerns over a "Bi-Coastal rap feud" stem from real-life hostility between Tekashi's camp and Elliot Grainge's California based label 10k Projects. Numerous "physical" altercations between both factions have taken place with both feet firmly planted on the ground. 6ix9ine was supposed to dine with Elliot Grainge after his arraignment but turned away at the very last minute, sparking an altercation outside the restaurant involving both their entourages.

Tekashi 6ix9ine Announces New Project Dropping Soon

by

Tekashi 6ix9ine is getting ready to drop his second project of the year.
Tekashi 6ix9ine's been one of the most buzzing artists to emerge this year. Much of it has to do with the controversy he's stirred up, but there's an argument to be made about how he's made progress as an artist since "GUMMO." The rapper's been teasing a new project for a minute, but now that his legal matters are settled, it's looking like we'll be getting in the coming weeks.

Tekashi 6ix9ine is gearing up to release his second project of the year. The rapper took to Instagram to announce that he has a new project dropping this month. Mind you, there's literally one more day left in the month, so unless he plans on dropping tonight, we're going to assume that he meant he'll be releasing it in November.

Over the past few months, he's teased numerous tracks that he's yet to release. Shortly after the release of "FEFE," he teased a new banger that features Lil Baby. Yesterday, he shared a snippet of an upcoming single produced by Murda Beatz.

The announcement of the new project comes a few days after he was sentenced in his child sex case. The rainbow-haired rapper dodged prison time after the judged extended his probation for another four years. Additionally, he was ordered to serve 1000 hours of community service and also avoid any sort of gang activity.

6ix9ine Goes International On Armoo-Assisted "Bozoo"

by

6ix9ine links up with an international buddy.

In the "strange collaboration of the day," 6ix9ine has linked up with a Dutch rapper by the name of Armoo. Together, they have united to deliver "Bozoo," an aggressive, 8-bit new single. It's difficult to say whether "Bozoo" is a reference to 6ix9ine's clownish hair, which previously prompted ex-Everyday Struggle host Star to label him "Bozo The Clown" on a recurring basis. In truth, the single is strange territory for the New York rapper, and it's not surprising to hear a somewhat phoned-in turn from the generally exuberant Tekashi

.

In truth, the young man is talented, and possesses an undeniably sharp ear; we've already seen his solo singles inevitably turn in stellar Billboard runs. Yet his decision to link up with a Dutch vlogger turned rapper is an interesting one, and it's unclear how this one came to be in the first place. Apparently, the rappers shot a video in Dubai, which should be surfacing in the near future. Keep a lookout.

Kim Kardashian DELETES nude tweet after Piers Morgan calls out 'inappropriate' timing following Pittsburgh synagogue murders

by

Reality star tweeted nude photo as news broke of latest mass murder in USA

Piers continued his ongoing feud with the reality star as he accused her of posting an inappropriate image after yesterday's synagogue shooting

Piers Morgan has no love for Kim Kardashian and, despite his support for President Trump, he is also a vociferous opponent of America’s notoriously lax gun laws.

These two strands of the Good Morning Britain hosts’s social media life came together this morning as he slammed reality star Kim’s ‘inappropriate’ tweet posted shortly after the latest mass shooting in the US.

The tweet, consisting solely of a date – the second of November – and an image of a naked female torso, was in all likelihood intended to promote Kim’s new line of cosmetics.

The reality star deleted this tweet after Piers's criticism

Piers called it inappropriate

Piers accused the reality star of 'inappropriately' bad-timing as it came shortly after the horrific events in Pittsburgh which left eleven people dead.

Piers tweeted: "As America reels from a despicable mass shooting at a synagogue in Pittsburgh, Kim Kardashian posts this image to Twitter .

"Delete it, @KimKardashian - if you have a shred of decency left.”

Kim did promptly delete the post, which may well have been scheduled hours before the mass murder.
